In the day-to-day rush of urban life, detached from our natural clocks, the march of the earth around the sun provides a backdrop for a story. Technology and lifestyle mediate our experience of the natural world. Consequently we are increasingly removed from the subtle changes that move our world from season to season in the mid-latitudes. The connections between the pieces of this story become abundantly clear.

This audio CD contains 52 one minute sound recordings captured over the course of an entire year at the break of dawn at exactly the same location. These recordings showcase the changes of the seasons through the presentation of a continuous flowing soundscape.

Included on the CD are two other sound tracks. These tracks were produced using the 52 source recordings as source material. The source material is presented within the same linear year structure, but has been time modified. "Time Modify 1" is an encapsulation of the previous 52 tracks, and "Time Modify 2" is an time smear modification of "Time Modify 1".

A booklet accompanies the CD with beautifully rendered pictures from each of these recordings.
